Welcome to my Classifieds 101. When thinking in terms of Classified Ads…they have forever been the best way to push or announce products and services.

Frankly without Classified Ad(s)ense) I believe that Google would have lasted as long as Alta Vista during Dot-Boom 1. as the Google founders were scrambling for ways of revenues, they changed the whole Classified Ads Industry in many ways.

One huge note though. While Google rocks, no doubt about it, I personally am Ad-Sensed out. I really cannot stand seeing those ads on websites.

I go to a website for that sites content, not to get side-tracked and really hoping the website publisher does not want me to click on an ad to take me away from their business. On the flip side—man do those Ad-Sense ads work and. -work well.

Okay enough about my AdSense rant and onto Classified Ads “The e-Industry”. No matter where you go on the web you will find two things for sure, Classified Ads and Noah.

They go hand-in-hand. With the likes of GoDaddy, 1and1, Bluehost, Fantastico, Elephante’, Installatron and pretty much all hosting companies there is, -supply Noah’s Classifieds.

That being said, -why do people install Noah? Easy answer, -”people want to have a great Classified Ads Website” or a featured part of their website.

So, in terms of -what-steps-to-take- when considering having a Classifieds Site.

1. To start, what are you going to sell -or- are you providing a service for people to post Ads.
2. Who is your market? Is it a Specialty? (Bikes, Golf, Star-Trek Collectibles) etc…
3. Keep in mind that “Niche’ Sites” really do best.
4. Do you have an existing business expanding to E-Sales? or You have an awesome idea?
5. Are you doing this as a hobby or do you want a money machine?
6. Bonus: Sometimes it’s just anything and everything. Gofor it,-because you know it!

While the above list can go on for miles, I think those questions are a good starting -point for consideration.

Next comes the Classified Ads Software -Noah in this case-and starting your exciting project.

Traditionally, a Website with a shopping cart has been and remains to be a very popular way of Internet Commerce.

Things are beginning to change and Noah’s Classifieds is truly at the helm of this change…in-fact we are the ones changing it.

Putting ads in Craigslist works, no doubt about it but what it cannot do is –separate- you from all the others selling or renting etc. -the same thing. Also, add a forum and even link a Blog to your Classifieds.

Use Craigslist to Promote your Classified Ads Site, the same with Ebay or Kijiji, Forums, basically— “Get Social” –Merchant Circle, Linked in, Flock, Ning.Com the list is endless and the good news it, it does not take long to make posts on these sites.

So now you have started your marketing and some advertising.

It is time to really slick up your ads in Noah. On an ending note for this first post, just remember that your site is an extension of you—and —you want to portray yourself as a professional and the results will show in the way you are perceived by your new audience, your site ease of use and again -Niche.
